Take a trip down the road less traveled to see Louisiana Highway 2 "The Boom or Bust Byway", which wanders through North Webster Parish and the towns of Sarepta and Shongaloo. Watch for the road signs that guide you through pine forests and lazy rolling hills.

Visitors are drawn to the picturesque grounds that mix agriculture with art. The Farm is the site of several activities of the Piney Hills Louisiana Master Gardeners. The Moess Center for the Arts & City Farm is located just blocks from downtown Minden at the corner of Talton and East Union streets.

The Caney Lakes are located in the 600,000-acre Kisatchie National Forest, offering beautiful hiking opportunities. Tourists will find the 12-mile sugar cane trail terrific for hiking, biking, running, swimming, fishing and picnicking.
