We will have three rare WWII Harley Motorcycles on display from the collection of Ronnie Dees of Springhill, LA and owner of 3 State Harley Davidson in Bossier City, LA.
Saturday activities will begin at 9:00 A.M. with registration at the Dorcheat Museum 116 Pearl Street Minden, LA. All registered people need to be back at museum by 2:00 P.M. for awards and door prizes. Motorcycle Movies will be shown all day at museum if you chose not to go to all the stops. IN THE EVENT OF RAIN 4 CARDS CAN BE PULLED AT MUSEUM. “UNDER DAWGS BAR & GRILL” RESTAURANT IS RIGHT AROUND CORNER FROM MUSEUM…YOU MUST PULL ONE CARD FROM THEM!
BRING AN UNWRAPPED TOY OR CANNED GOOD FOR LOCAL NEEDS!
Stops include: You need a total of 5 cards recorded on your sheets
Be back by 2:00 P.M. to total cards plus some GREAT prizes and awards will be given out!
1. GERMANTOWN COLONY MUSEUM 200 Museum Road Minden, LA 6.7 miles from Minden. See and learn lots of Webster Parish history at this State of Louisiana Museum. They are excited to have you stop to draw your card. Hours 9 – 4
2. Webster Parish Library 521 East & West. With this stop you will see a great historic Spanish Style red tile roof building from 1921. The staff at the library are excited to be included in this event so please stop and draw your card.
3. City Art Works 701 Main Street Minden, LA right before you get to Under Dawgs. This building houses a gallery of local artist. See some art and draw a card. Was home to several different business. Stop and get your card!
4. SEE THE OLD CLOCK and GREEN TILE BANK OF MINDEN BUILDING (1890) this is the home of Under Dawgs Sports Bar and Grill Restaurant (GO IN DRAW YOUR CARD AND EAT LUNCH) 605 Main Street Minden
5. Optional spot if you want to do a little more riding is the Kiosk Gazebo in Sarepta, LA Hwy 371…Kiosk is next to Post Office. Tells some local history and highlights Sarepta Native Trace Adkins. This spot will only be manned to draw a card for TWO HOURS 10-12
6. Dorcheat Museum a 1920s building has seen many different business over the years. This will be for your last card if you are one card short or missed a stop….
