Come celebrate the holidays in Historic Downtown Minden. Below is a full list of scheduled events for the weekend!
Friday, December 8th
Tree Lighting Ceremony

Join us as we light up the City Christmas Tree and kick off the exciting Holiday weekend!
Holiday Wine Walk

Downtown Minden $$
Join us for a delightful wine tasting experience and stroll through Downtown Minden, where you’ll encounter delicious snacks, captivating entertainment, exclusive discounts, and so much more. Tickets will be available for purchase.

Holiday Trail of Lights Hayride

Downtown Minden
Take a tractor-pulled hayride tour of the Historic District and enjoy Christmas Lights and caroling hosted by Webster Parish Tourism & Dorcheat Museum.
Rehab Reindeer Run 5K

Ridgewood Subdivision
It’s time for our annual REINDEER RUN hosted by Minden Medical Center Rehab Services. This years’ participants will run/walk through the Ridgewood neighborhood at night to take in all the Christmas lights lining the course! Come join us for a jolly good time to kick off 2023 Christmas in Minden weekend!

Dorcheat Historical Museum

Create your very own ornament to hang on the tree. All supplies are provided by Webster Parish Libraries.
Kids Face Painting & S’mores

The Courtyard
FREE
Minden JSL will be providing S’mores to roast over the fire for a sweet snack before the parade. Area art students will be available to paint faces.
Photos with the Grinch and Friends
Downtown Minden
The Grinch and friends will be walking around downtown, be sure to snap a picture before the parade begins!
Entertainment
5:30pm – Amanda Shaw Minden Civic Center
Energetic Louisiana fiddler Amanda Shaw blazes trails with her clever songwriting and exciting performances. She will be performing on the Downtown music stage.
We have a Savior Christmas Concert
First Baptist Minden

Our choir and orchestra will weave the enchanting story of Christmas through music.
