Geaux Wild Ultra Run – The Beast Race | Doyline, Louisiana

Push your limits and embrace the wild at the Geaux Wild Ultra Run, better known as The Beast Race, at beautiful Lake Bistineau State Park in Doyline, Louisiana. This endurance challenge invites runners to experience the rugged beauty of Webster Parish on a true Louisiana trail adventure — with distances for every level of ultra athlete and an exciting 100-mile option added for 2026.

The Course

Runners will tackle a 10-mile loop combining the scenic Blue Wing, Koasati, and Whoa Mule trails, featuring classic Louisiana State Park terrain. Expect flat to gently rolling paths with natural surfaces, muddy stretches, exposed tree roots, and shaded forest trails.

Two aid stations keep runners fueled:

  • Main Aid Station (Start/Finish Area): Hot food and a full selection of trail snacks

  • Midpoint Aid Station (Mile 5): Water, snacks, ice, and electrolytes

It’s a true trail experience through upland hardwood forests, towering cypress and tupelo trees, and the peaceful landscape that makes Lake Bistineau unforgettable.

Race Distances & Start Times

  • 100 Miler – Starts at 5:00 AM | 35-hour cutoff

  • 50 Miler – Starts at 6:00 AM | 15-hour cutoff

  • 50K – Starts at 7:00 AM | 14-hour cutoff

Swag & Awards

All participants receive quality race swag, including:

  • 50K & 50M: T-shirt, speed cup, waist belt pack, neck gaiter

  • 100M: T-shirt, speed cup, waist belt pack, neck gaiter, and jacket

Awards include:

  • 50K & 50M: Finisher medal

  • 100M: Finisher buckle

  • Custom medals awarded to the Top 3 Male and Female finishers in each distance

Race Day Fuel

Runners can expect well-stocked aid stations with favorites like bacon, PB&J, quesadillas, grilled cheese, chips, pickles, candy, potatoes, soda, electrolytes, and more. Finishers are welcomed with pulled pork sliders, pasta salad, cake, and vegan options available.
