Huffman House
The Huffman House Bed and Breakfast is a Queen Ann Revival home, that was built by Mr. J.H. Nelson in 1918 on the site of the 1870 Reams house. Wood and architectural pieces from the original home was used in the construction of the much larger Nelson homestead. Currently the Huffman home has over 5100 ft.² in the main living quarters with the adjacent pool house adding an additional 300 ft.² plus a second full kitchen. Kimberly and James Huffman purchased this home in 2015 and begin a cosmetic renovation to freshen this grand old historic home. Kimberly and James both hoteliers by trade secured the proper documentation and permits to transform this grand historic home into a Luxury Micro Inn / Bed and Breakfast in the downtown Minden Historic District in June of 2015, and at that time formed Huffman Management, LLC as the operating entity . The Huffman House B&B is now renting rooms and has received outstanding reviews for its guests.
