The Baird Sanders Home

The Baird house was built in 1917 by E. B. Reagan (1870-1928) and Anna Todd Reagan (1874-1933), the parents of Ruth Reagan Baird (Husband: James Garitty Baird, 1905 – 1968). Ruth passed away in 1984, at which time the house became the property of her 4 children until the sale of the house to the current owners, the Sanders. E. B. Reagan’s father, James Wood Reagan (1842 – 1909) was the first of their family to come to Minden. He was a native of Mississippi, but settled in Webster Parish after the Civil War. He served as Sheriff in Webster Parish from 1880 to 1888 and chief deputy sheriff from 1892 to 1896. Mr. E. B. Reagan’s mother was Amanda Stewart Reagan (1847-1920). They are both buried at Minden Cemetery.

The home was acquired by Ricky and Diana Sanders in January 2017 from the original family. If you would be interested in renting for a future event, please call 318-371-1040.
