15th Annual Black History Month Parade – Springhill, Louisiana

Springhill comes alive with pride, culture, and community during the 15th Annual Black History Month Parade, a beloved tradition celebrating history, heritage, and unity. Join residents and visitors as the parade steps off at 1:00 PM, honoring the legacy and contributions of the Black community.

This year’s parade proudly features Grand Marshal Rachel Akrong, leading a vibrant procession of community groups, performers, and supporters. The route will travel south along Highway 371, turn right onto Vine Street, and conclude at the West Side Community Center.

Following the parade, the celebration continues with food, family-friendly fun, and festive activities at the community center which makes it a perfect afternoon for all ages. Whether you’re cheering along the route or gathering at the finale, this event offers a meaningful and joyful way to celebrate Black History Month in Springhill.
