Phillip’s Cottage 5K & Fun Run – Minden, Louisiana

Lace up your running shoes and make a difference at the Phillip’s Cottage 5K & Fun Run on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in Minden. The race will begin and end at Phillip’s Cottage, 217 W. Union Street, right in the heart of the community.

The Fun Run kicks off at 8:00 AM, followed by the 5K at 8:15 AM. Whether you’re a seasoned runner chasing a personal best or simply looking to enjoy a meaningful morning walk, this event welcomes participants of all ages and fitness levels.

All proceeds benefit Phillip’s Cottage, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides transitional housing for women with children who have graduated from Louisiana Adult & Teen Challenge. Funds help support the mothers and children who call Phillip’s Cottage home, maintain the property, and cover operational expenses throughout the year. By participating, you’re directly investing in hope, stability, and brighter futures for families in our region.

Registration Details

• $25 through April 7, 2026 (includes event t-shirt; shirt not guaranteed after this date)
• $30 from April 8 through race day
• Sleep-In Supporter Option: Support the cause without running for $30 by April 7 and receive a t-shirt shipped to you.

Pick up at Phillip’s Cottage:

• Thursday, April 23 | 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Friday, April 24 | 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• Race Day beginning at 7:00 AM

Awards

• Cash prize for 1st Overall Male & Female 5K finishers
• Trophies for 1st & 2nd place finishers in each age group

Age Groups: 14 & under, 15–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, 70+

Strollers, wagons, baby joggers, and other hand-pushed or pulled vehicles are welcome at a walking pace only. In accordance with RRCA regulations, in-line skates, roller skates, and running with baby strollers are not permitted on the run course.
