Bring the whole family to the West Side Summer Splash Bash on Saturday, July 25, for a day filled with summer fun, community spirit, and festive celebrations in Minden. From colorful parade entries to family-friendly activities, this annual event is the perfect way to enjoy the season with friends and neighbors.

The festivities begin with parade lineup at 10:00 a.m., and the parade steps off at 11:00 a.m. from Elm Street, traveling through the West Side neighborhood before concluding on Anthony Street. This year’s parade theme, “Beach Bash Extravaganza,” encourages participants to decorate floats, golf carts, bicycles, wagons, and other approved entries with tropical flair, beach balls, Hawaiian shirts, and vibrant summer colors. Young children ages 1–4 can also participate in the special “Summer Sizzlers” theme by dressing as popsicles, ice cream cones, or slices of watermelon.

Following the parade, enjoy the Summer Splash Bash from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., featuring family-friendly entertainment, community fellowship, and plenty of opportunities to celebrate summertime together.
